Too little bronzer and it doesn’t show. Too much and you end up looking a little too tanned. We thought a guide to choosing the perfect bronzer and using it well would do some good.
Pick the Right Shade
A bronzer should be chosen based on your skin type and complexion. Always pick the one that is a shade or two darker than your skin tone. If you have an oily skin, opt for a powder bronzer which blends more easily. For dry skin, a gel-based or cream-based bronzer is best suited.
Application Zones
Cheekbones, nose and eyebrows are features that spark up with the help of bronzer. You could also apply it on other areas that need highlighting.
Usage
Make sure you apply a small amount of bronzer using a broad blusher brush, after dusting off the excess from brush. Too much can ruin your entire look.
Ideal Occasions
A bronzer is best suited for occasions such as formal dinners, wedding receptions and evening parties. If you must apply in the day time, use a bronzer that is a shade lighter than your normal bronzer shade.
Other Tips
Apply the bronzer after you have finished using foundation. The most important rule is to merge the lines and give your face a flawless finish. If the face has an orange tinge after the application, it has gone wrong.
