Of all our #beautygoals, nailing the dewy, fresh-faced, radiant skin has to be at the top of our list. Because let’s accept it, healthy glowing skin makes anyone look bloody amazing.
But the truth is, it ain’t always easy. Especially if you have skin that tends to be dry, red, flaky and irritated. The good news is that with the help of the right kind of products and a few cheeky beauty tricks, you can easily own that beautiful glow from within look.
Sometimes you just gotta ‘fake it til you make it,’ right?
You will need:
To really nail that lit-from-within look, you’ll need to make sure you have a liquid foundation on hand. We chose the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Foundation, as well as a facial oil of your choice for the glow-inducing moisture. You will need a cream blush and we picked the Lakmé Kareena Kapoor Khan Absolute Cheek Contour. You’ll also need a highlighter. We recommend using the Lakmé Absolute Highlighter - Moon-Lit.
While you can apply your foundation and oil combo using a brush or your fingers, using a makeup sponge will make the application seamless.
So now that you know what you’ll be needing, let’s begin!
Step 01: Mix foundation with oil
Put a pump and a half of foundation onto the back of your hand and mix it with a few drops of facial oil. Next, it’s time to blend it all in. Using the makeup sponge, blend the foundation and oil combination. Start at the centre of your face because this is where the most coverage is needed and blend your foundation outwards using a dabbing motion.
Step 02: Apply the blush to your cheek
Next, apply the cream blush on your cheekbones. You can use a brush or sponge to apply the blush, but we suggest using your fingertips. The warmth of your fingers will help the formula melt into your skin for a beautiful, natural finish.
Step 03: Add the highlighter
Now it’s time to apply the highlighter, and this is the step that will help seal the deal for you. Take some highlighter from the palette on a fan brush and apply it to the highpoints of your face i.e your cheekbones, brow bones and cupid’s bow. Blend it all out to make sure no harsh lines appear.
Step 04: Don’t forget your eyes
Dab some additional highlighter across your lids, below your brow bone and in the inner corner of your eyes. This will open up your eyes and make you appear more awake!
And that’s how you fake naturally glowy skin!
