When Kylie Jenner introduced her fuller lips to the world, it took us all by storm. Our collective Google searches were variations of the same statement — 'how to get Kylie Jenner lips.' The Kylie Jenner lip challenge was a thing. Overlining became a household term. But short of getting lip fillers, nothing we tried seemed to work — we've got the embarrassing pics to show for it too. But if you're still trying to attain a pillowy pout, we've got the right tricks up our sleeve that'll help you flaunt fuller lips, au naturel, of course. Read on to know how to get fuller lips naturally.
01. Exfoliate and hydrate
This is step number one, and it's so important. Before you try any other hacks, exfoliate your lips first. Flaky lips reflect less light, which means a dry pout could be making your lips look smaller than they are. To get rid of flakes, brush them lightly with a toothbrush. This also boosts circulation, giving you a rosy tint sans makeup.
02. Use a lip paint
Are you still trying to overline your lips with a lip liner? That may be well and good, but do yourself a favour and switch to lip paint instead. The Lakmé Absolute Precision Lip Paint is our go-to choice for, well, painting our lips. With an expert brush that promises perfectly defined lips every single time and a velvety matte finish, this lip paint is bound to be your BFF when it comes to getting fuller lips naturally. Plus, it comes in 10 vivid shades that are perfect for your many moods.
03. Contour your lips
Now that you've got your lip paint, let's get you started. Start by applying concealer on your lips. We recommend the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Spf 20 Concealer Stick since it has a crease-proof formula that won’t settle in the fine lines. Then, dip the expert brush in the paint pot and outline your lips, going slightly above your natural lip line.
04. Blend it out
To add a little bit of dimension before you fill your lips — blend out the concealer and the lip paint using your ring finger. Ensure that you keep the centre of your lips lighter and the edges darker since this will help create a 3D-like effect and enhance the shape of your lips.
05. Fill it out
Once you're happy with the way your pout looks and you've got the contouring bit all sorted, fill in the rest of your lips with the lip paint! Make sure you go a little lighter on the centre and darker on the edges, and don't colour outside the lines. If you want a little more drama, dab some of the Lakmé Absolute Spotlight Lip Gloss on the centre of your lips. It has the revolutionary property of 3D gloss and will give your lips the extra oomph they need.
