If there are 3 things I just can’t do without, it’s definitely eyeliner, lipstick and chai (not the tea bag one though). My tryst with eyeliner started when I was probably around 7, while I always cherished the makeup mom put on me during school dramas and performances, what I looked forward to the most was the eyeliner! My mom probably didn’t want me to start using makeup in 4th grade so she would do a light line just on my lid, no wings no drama!

Applying eyeliner is therapeutic and calming for me. Some people meditate, some do yoga, but for me applying a nice bold and dramatic wing is all I need to have a good start to the day.

Over the years my skill and technique has gotten better, add to that all the new and interesting eye products that keep dropping in the market. One such must have is the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line range of metallic liners. I have been obsessing over these coloured metallic liquid liners and always try to find a way to incorporate them into my makeup looks.

Here are 3 ways you can use these metallic eyeliners to amp up your eye makeup too…

Inner corner glow

Inner corner glow

This is a fairly simple and not so ‘out there look’ if you’re just getting used to this trend. Use black eyeliner and draw on a basic wing. Now add some colour by using the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in Liquid Gold and apply it in the inner corners of the eye, where you would usually put some highlighter. Coat your lashes with mascara and you’re ready to glow.

Double Eyeliner

This look is great to add some colour to an otherwise boring black liner. After you’re done applying some eyeliner on your lids, take the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in Liquid Gold and trace it right over the black. Don’t worry if you mess up a little you can always go over the black once the product is dry. I suggest applying some dramatic false lashes for a more impactful look.

Gradient Liner

If you’re confident of your eyeliner skills, give this one a shot! Take the Lakmé Absolute Shine Line in Steel Grey and apply it from the inner corner till the center of the lid, then grab a black liner and extend it till the end of the eye. Finish the look with some coloured mascara and brow bone highlight!
