You religiously apply sunscreen before stepping out and yet notice the effects of the harsh UV rays on your skin. This could be due to a lot of reasons – low SPF value, not reapplying your sunscreen, etc. Therefore, today we are going to address some of the most common sunscreen mistakes. You don’t apply enough sunscreen

Yes, you use a sunscreen with a high SPF value but under applying sunscreen is one of the most common mistakes. Most women don’t apply the required portion, thereby not getting enough protection. Use a handful portion for your body and a nickel-sized blob for your face. Let it absorb properly and then apply makeup.

You apply sunscreen right before stepping out

Applying sunscreen and stepping out immediately won’t be of any use. Every sunscreen requires at least 30 minutes to activate and provide protection from the UV rays. This also allows your skin to absorb the formula well and work better at offering protection from the harsh effects of the sun.

You skip key spots

While you may be diligently applying sunscreen to your face and body, it common to ignore some key spots which often get neglected. Lips, ears and the back of your neck is often exposed to the sun and can cause skin issues if neglected.
