Calling all bridesmaids, the wedding season has officially arrived! B-town too is buzzing with the recent wedding announcements of Priyanka Chopra with Nick Jonas and Deepika Padukone with Ranveer Singh. Sadly, we can’t be a part of these star studded weddings but can surely have all the fun by planning the perfect bachelorette party for the person who was always there for you -  your best friend.

If you’re on bridesmaid’s duty we know your to-do list is pretty long. To make your job a little easier here are few tips that can help you.

Prepare a guest list

Prepare a guest list

This is one task that will require some help from the bride. Instead of making assumptions and making a blunder, sit with her and get the names of all the people that she wants to see at the party. It will also save you precious time.

Choose a date

Choose a date

Bringing so many people together can be quite a task, so start the preparations at least two months prior to the wedding. Let the bride choose a date and then confirm with the most important people on the guest list and finalise a date which is convenient for most people.

Select a theme

Select a theme

Once you have the date in place it’s time to kick start the planning. It doesn’t necessarily have to be a crown, sash and some bride-to-be party decoration. Get creative and consider what the bride likes to do the most, whether she likes adventures, pools, a spa day or a simple PJ party. You can also plan it around her favourite TV show or movie.

Night out or weekend getaway

Night out or weekend getaway

Your theme can also depend on the duration of the bachelorette party. If it’s a PJ party or clubbing, you can get over with it in a night, an elaborate party will require a more interesting theme and games for everyone to get along and have fun.

Send out invites

Send out invites

Now that things seem to be pretty much in place, it is time to send out the invites. Get creative with the theme, for example, if you’re planning a pool party you can send some goodies with the invitation such as a hat, soft towels and a good sunscreen such as Lakmé Sun Expert Ultra Matte SPF 50 PA+++ Gel Sunscreen to get them party ready!
