The beauty trends from the fall 2018 runways are here and we are NOT sorry to report that the brightest and boldest eye makeup is making a grand comeback!

We give you the lowdown on some of our favourite technicolour eye makeup looks that have graced the fall of 2018.

Oh, Bella!

Bella Hadid's neon look

With great risk comes great reward and that is precisely what we think comes with a yellow eyeshadow. A thick dollop of yellow eyeshadow can be as rewarding as this look that Bella Hadid carried off with much panache.

Work it:

To get this look, opt for the Lakmé 9-to-5 Eye Quartet Eyeshadow in Desert Rose and generously layer the yellow shade on your lids. Use your ring finger to blend it outwards.

Wear the violet

Wear the violet

In tune with the Pantone colour of the year, ultra violets, pinks and purples have all resurfaced on the newest eyeshadow palette of the season and we couldn’t be more excited!

Work it:

You can create a defined line above your lid with the opaque purple hues from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eyeshadow Palette in Silver and the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Royal Persia. Or, you can wear two complementary violet shades on the upper and lower lids, respectively. Another option is the Lakmé 9to5 Eye Quartet in Tanjore Rush to add drama to your lids.

Green sheen

Perhaps this one will make you think—“When am I going to wear green eyes?” The answer is simple—anywhere! And, why not? This very dreamy shade of an eyeshadow will work well during this gloomy weather and give you a soft wash of colour.

Work it:

To work this look, use the green hues from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Gold and the Lakmé 9to5 Eye Quartet in Tanjore Rush. The texture will allow you to effortlessly blend the product. You can deepen the colour, layer by layer, depending on your preference. You will see the drastically different effects it will create for your makeup.

Smoking hot

We guess smokey eyes are here to stay—they’ve only been given an upgrade. To perk up regular smokey eyes, add some glitter, a black eyeliner and a dash of red; and voila, you have aced this new goth eyeshadow look.

Work it:

To ace this very glamourous take on the smokey eye, go for the black hues from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Silver and Gold. Use the silver in the palette to add shimmer to your lids. You can also go for a soft smokey eye with the grey hues from the Lakmé 9to5 Eye Quartet in Desert Rose.

The light blue hue

The light blue hue

Light blue lashes will add a graphic, comic book-like touch to your look which is perfect for when you want to draw all the attention to your eyes. To define these already graphic eyes further, use a white or royal blue eye liner.

Work it:

To ace this look, pick the blue from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Royal Persia. Just a couple of strokes of the product on your lids should do the trick. To add definition to this look, opt for the Lakmé Eyeconic Kajal in Royal Blue. A single stroke should do the trick!
