Another season, another Korean beauty trend takes over the world! This time around there’s a new K-beauty trend that every skincare buff is obsessing over. It’s called the 7 skin method. This method leaves you with clear, radiant and super hydrated skin - the kind of glow that you get after paying a bomb at a salon.

The method involves layering three to seven layers of toner right after cleansing. It might sound a little insane at first, but wait till you learn all about the process. Scroll below to know everything about the 7 skin method, including how to incorporate it into your skincare routine.

What is the 7 skin method?

What is the 7 skin method?

The 7 skin method, as the name suggests, means layering a skincare product seven times. But not just any product; a toner! It was apparently popularised by a Korean actress who claimed she put seven layers of toner on her skin for gorgeous skin and it suddenly became all the rage in the beauty world.

A non-drying, hydrating toner has to be layered on your face no less than seven times. It is an ultimate solution for dehydrated and rough skin and an important step to achieve the glossy, glass-like skin. It lets the product penetrate deep into the skin, balancing the pH level and shrinking the pores for virtually poreless skin. Plus, it suits and works on every skin type and is really effective in scoring the plump and visibly hydrated skin.

How to do it?

How to do it?

Step 01: Double cleanse your face with an oil-based cleanser and a foaming face wash to get squeaky clean skin

Step 02: Exfoliate to get rid of the dead skin cells, deep settled oil and impurities. This also helps the next product to be absorbed better

Step 03: Next, take an alcoholic-free, non-astringent toner like the Lakme Absolute Pore Fix Toner on your palm and pat in on your face with your fingertips until it dries up

Step 04: Repeat Step 03 six more times by patting gently each time the toner dries and gets absorbed

Step 05: Moisturise and do the rest of your skincare and makeup routine as usual. Do this twice a day.
