Whether you want to show off your tan or that unforgiving workout, you really don’t need a reason to wear a skirt. But if you find yourself in a dilemma of sorts while walking into your walk-in, let us show you the kind of twirls that are just right to shape the ‘ruler’ you are.
Make the skirt work
We’ve heard the adage “fake it till you make it” and now it’s time to really do so! To give the illusion of a more curvy lower body, invest in a textured pouf skirt that has a thick waistband and bellows out full fore giving you the fuller hips you’ve only dreamed of.
Get imprinted
Go print crazy! And we mean, big crazy. Choose from big florals, aztec prints and polkas to direct attention to your slender bottom. Not only do bold prints make your look generously fuller, they are also bang on trend. Style this with neutral blouses or snug tees.
High-low hems
If you’re petite and long for longer legs, this one’s for you. Opt for straight up checked pencil skirts that have an asymmetrical hem. That little detail does a lot to give the appearance of longer legs.
Add them ruffles Ruffle up your twirl! Details like ruffles at the hem or even a bold scuba textured peplum at the waistband does wonders to add more volume to your straight frame. Go for lighter colours like beige, baby pink and classic whites that help broaden your figure.
