Add wisely to your trousseau

There will be a host of events to attend post the wedding. So it’s important to have a bit of all the basics in your trousseau. Don’t go for too many heavy Indian outfits because trends keep changing. Stick to westerns—invest in well-fitted pairs of jeans, tops, blazers and dresses that you will require for everyday wear. As far as shoes and bags are concerned, go for basic and neutral shades that will work with most outfits.
Scout for the right jewellery

Let’s face it—you will be wearing your heavy jewellery only during your wedding day. So it’s a great idea to buy simple earrings, bracelets and neck pieces that will help accessorize your western outfits in the future. Remember that as far as real or chunky jewellery is concerned, you will already get them as gifts. So it’s wise to put your money on jewellery that you would actually want to flaunt post the wedding.
The dilemma of the wedding outfit

I’ve seen several girls stress themselves out worrying about the wedding outfit. But remember that when you’re shopping for it, it has to be love at first sight. Go with your instincts as far as the wedding outfit is concerned. If your heart feels like it, buy it! But you must remember that if you’re customizing your outfit, do it from a designer you completely trust because you don’t want to end up wearing something you don’t love on your big day!
Embrace a beauty regime

I keep seeing a lot of girls who drink green smoothies and vitamin water to get that bridal glow but nothing, in my opinion, can do the kind of magic that plain simple water can. You’re bound to be stressed with guests pouring in and all the shopping. So to ensure that all the tension doesn’t have an impact on your skin, reach out for lots of water. Drink at least 3 litres every day. It’s equally important to sleep well during this time. I would ensure that I’d eat healthy every two hours and get my beauty sleep because I didn’t want to look tired on my big day. Since all the stress can easily make you lose hair, it’s important to go in for hair spas whenever you get time in hand. Also, I know it’s tough but keep the stress at bay because remember that it’s your day and nobody can take that away from you. Let your family help you out and deal with the events.
Do up your home in advance

Agreed that doing up your home with your partner is a very exciting task. But it can also take a toll on your health if you happen to leave it out for the time post wedding. So as much as possible, try and do your home up before the big day so you can just walk into a ready home once you’re done with the wedding. Other than that, the key is to adjust and be flexible when you move into a new home.
