LRT DIARIES: LOVE AND LAUGHTER AT PK’S SUCCESS PARTY

Aamir Khan’s movies are normally very successful as well as critically acclaimed, but when Aamir’s histrionics are laced with Rajkumar Hirani’s direction, then the mix is undefeatable! Their last film, PK, has broken records and has been loved by audiences nationally as well as internationally.
To celebrate PK’s international success, the cast got together at the Four Seasons Hotel in Mumbai recently. Director Rajkumar Hirani and producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra were joined by the lead star cast Anushka Sharma (wearing a black Michael Kors dress with black heels and impeccable makeup) and Aamir Khan, who came with wife Kiran Rao.
Two leading ladies ruling the roost right now—Deepika Padukone (who came straight from her shoot, wearing distressed jeans with a casual, cool tee) and Kangana Ranaut (wearing a Valentino dress with pink heels)—dropped by to congratulate the team.
Amitabh Bachchan (still so handsome and so magnetic) was seen having an animated conversation with Anushka and he was full of praise for her—something that definitely overwhelmed her, while making her very happy.
Aditi Rao Hydari—who wore a beautiful Masaba Gupta sari (we love that she did not accessorise this look, but kept everything simple, thus letting the outfit do the talking)—Jackie Shroff (we’re going to ignore the dark glasses he sported to the evening do) and Javed Akhtar were seen catching up with their fraternity.
Ranveer Singh, Anil Kapoor and Ritesh Sidhwani came to the party with Zoya Akhtar, straight from the dinner they were having at Zoya’s house. (Ranveer’s handlebar moustache still stood the test of time!) As usual, the camaraderie between the cast was quite energetic.
Imran Khan came with his wife, Avantika Malik.
The surprise package of the night was the reticent but graceful and statuesque Tabu (wearing a long black dress with a sleeveless jacket by designer Gaurav Gupta), who isn’t known to frequent parties.
The group was joined by the rest of the cast comprising Boman Irani and Parikshit Sahni, among others.
Sanjay Dutt’s wife, Manyata Dutt, and his sister, Priya Dutt, also made an appearance.
Each person there was seen having a wonderful time and the air of warmth and general happiness was contagious!
