We’ve seen too many exotic wedding destinations in movies—yes, we’re thinking about the Twilight wedding too where Edward and Bella gave us all kinds of #weddinggoals! But turns out, exotic weddings don’t just happen in movies anymore, well certainly not for some celebrities who went out of their way to ensure their wedding day was indeed the best day of their life.
Of course, whether the marriage lasted is a whole other story, but the weddings sure painted a pretty picture. Here’s a lowdown of some of the most exotic celebrity wedding destinations that could perhaps persuade you to save up for an exotic one of your own.
This was the most recent where we saw the Rheson sisterschannel their inner Aisha at the #Akmash (Akshay Marwah and Aashita Relan) wedding in Abu Dhabi, at the Emirates Palace to be precise. Just living out that Middle Eastern fantasy…
The Clooney Wedding
Amal pretty much had a SATC-style wedding with the lavish magazine spreads of her Oscar de la Renta wedding gown and a real-life Mr. Big to tie the knot with. What's more? It happened at the Aman Canal Grande Venice—the Venetian equivalent to our Umaid Bhawan Palace in Jodhpur.
The Khan Wedding
Salman did a pretty good job at giving his sister the wedding of her dreams, starting with a venue as grand as the Falaknuma Palace in Hyderabad. Thereafter, it was only happily ever after, as much for Arpita as for the hotel for hosting such an extravagant wedding.
The Kimye Wedding
If you have been Keeping Up With The Kardashians, you already know of their flair for flamboyance. So how could a Kardashian wedding be any less? From a pre-wedding dinner at the Palace of Versailles to the final nuptials being tied at the Forte di Belvedere in Florence—it was a lavish affair!
The Manson-Von Teese Wedding
Ever dreamt of marrying in a castle in Ireland, with all of its legends and history serving as a picturesque backdrop—and one of the biggest publications covering every inch of the ceremony? Well, that was it for Dita Von Teese and Marilyn Manson. Sadly, the marriage didn't last but memories of the wedding in the glossies? They surely did!
The Haydon Wedding
This came to us as a surprise when supermodel Lisa Haydon decided to tie the knot with beau Dino Lalvani… but what a sweet surprise it was! The wedding photos, of a beach-side ceremony held in Phuket, had our hearts melting with Lisa looking her happiest self, amidst close friends and family.
