The weekend is here, and we’re sure you guys have started making plans. Just the usual, partying on a Friday night? We get it. We just can’t let go of some routines. The next day, you just want to make up for all the rest you compromised on, don’t you? The feeling of staying glued to the bed all day is something we can’t put into words. No matter how much your mom forces you to run errands; you know that getting outta bed is next to impossible. So, you decide to stay in! And what better way to spend this me-time than catching up on some amazing TV shows? It’s not really a weekend if you don’t spend all your day binging on TV shows and food. So, here’s a list of some of our favourite TV shows that you should be binge-watching this weekend.
The Sinner

The Sinner

This newest Netflix entrant was actually being talked about since quite a few months. People said that they couldn’t handle the intensity of the show. Starring Jessica Biel, the show portrays a dark side (hint: second degree murder) of her otherwise calm character. This was the easiest way to put it and not give you guys any spoilers, but trust us on the fact that this show is too interesting to not watch. The first season is out on Netflix!

Alias Grace

Alias Grace

This show is based on the 1996 Margaret Atwood Novel ‘Alias Grace’. The period show will take you back to 18th century Canada. It follows the story of protagonist Grace Marks who is accused and convicted of a murder. The best part? It’s actually based on true events! Season 1 is out on Netflix and consists of 6 episodes.

Stranger Things

If you haven’t been subjected to all the hype behind this show, you’re definitely living under a rock. The second season of this show is out and it’s extremely binge-worthy! You can also binge-watch season one and two together or probably do a season 1 rerun. If you’re new to this show, it’s about a town called Hawkins in Indiana where a kid goes mysteriously missing and a bunch of his friends encounter strange things (quite a literal show name) in their quest to find him. The show is a perfect mix of spooky and funny which we love! One thing that we assure you is that you will not regret watching it. Watch it on Netflix.

Mindhunter

Mindhunter

We all share common love for cop shows, don’t we? Anything that has even the slightest air of mystery intrigues us. If you’re someone who loves a criminal drama, this show is for you. It follows the lives of two agents from the FBI behavioral science unit getting up close and personal with serial killers and solving mind-boggling cases. We were already sold when we learned that David Fincher was one of the producers on the show and also directed a few episodes! You can watch season one on Netflix.

This is us

This is us

As opposed to all the shows listed above, this show is a comedy drama. This is us revolves around the lives of several people who share the same birthday and the ways in which they’re similar and different. That’s quite a concept, don’t you think? If crime shows are too intense for you, binge-watch both the seasons of this is us that’s available on Hotstar!

We hope we got you covered for the weekend. So, order that double cheese burst pizza that’s been on your mind, get comfy and tuck yourself into the sheets and get binging! Happy weekend y’all!
