It is said that love makes the world go round, but we think ‘love’ can easily be replaced by ‘food’ considering how much joy it can bring to a person! Keeping up with the demand of people’s need to gastronomically indulge themselves, a new restaurant—Fatty Bao— seasoned Restaurateur AD Singh and Chef Manu Chandra, has just opened doors in Mumbai in Bandra last week.

AD Singh knows how to rock a place—something we can vouch for since the opening of Olive Bar & Kitchen in Bandra a decade ago.  We have spent many evenings there over the years catching up with AD (one of our closest friends) as well as others. Olive is, till date, packed and over booked (which in a restaurant’s life can be quite a challenge) and it has to do a lot with AD Singh’s charm and energy. So it’s no surprise that the opening of Fatty Bao (a modern Asian eatery with a fantastic bar) was well attended by celebrities, Bollywood stars, socialites and a whole lot of his friends and well-wishers.

Seen having fun there were Bollywood stars like Konkona Sen Sharma, Rahul Bose (they must’ve been catching up on life after Mr and Mrs Iyer, because they were chatting the whole evening), Shriya Saran, Eli Avram and Neha Dhupia.

Also seen were Anushka Manchanda, AD’s wife Sabina Singh, designer Nachiket Barve with his wife Surbi, directors Vikas Bahl, Homi Adajania and Punit Malhotra, Rashmi Nigam, Ujwalla Raut, Marc Robinson, Simone Singh, Anaita Shroff Adajania amongst others.

Need we say the evening progressed into late night with a lot of laughter, food, happiness and selfies shared between the guests.
