Shibani Dandekar and Farhan Akthar recently tied the knot in an intimate ceremony with family and closest friends in tow. The newest B-town bride is winning the internet with her glamorous wedding attire. Her wedding dress was something we have never seen before. Even for the mehendi ceremony, the singer’s off-beat, boho lehenga was absolutely breathtaking. But what we loved the most about her look is the makeup. It’s official that minimalism is now the way to go for Bollywood weddings.

The dress donned by Shibani was nothing less than a masterpiece - a fabulous union of white gowns and traditional red lehengas! It was truly a breath of fresh air amidst all the pink lehengas we’d been seeing. We’re glad to see that red is making a return for weddings. And when it comes to her makeup, she let her natural beauty shine without doing much. Let’s break down her look and learn how to recreate it, shall we?

Shibani kept her makeup quite natural and let her dress take the centre stage. She opted for an alluring yet muted look for her special day. The only prominent makeup product on her face is heaps of mascara that add volume and length to her lashes. Just a few key products here and she still managed to look like a dream!

To cop this look, go for a lightweight and skin-like foundation like the Lakmé 9 To 5 Primer + Matte Perfect Cover Foundation. This is also quite long-wearing so you wouldn’t have to worry about any touch-ups.

Define the crease of your eyes with a matte brown eyeshadow and apply loads of mascara on your lashes. If you want really fluttery and voluminous lashes like the bride, go in with the Lakmé Absolute 3D Lash Volumizer Mascara - Black. It adds length, density, separation and gives you the faux lashes look.

For the lips, Shibani kept it as neutral as possible with a dusty rose, nude lipstick like the Lakmé Forever Matte Liquid Lip Color - Nude Myth. For the rest of the face, keep the colours toned down.

For the hair, Shibani went for the classic - loose curls with an oomph load of volume. Something about this hairstyle is just so elegant! It’s timeless and makes one look like a proper diva, no matter what the occasion or outfit it’s paired with.
