We have often seen makeup artists come up with creative ways to use cosmetics and come up with what can only be called masterpieces. An artist who has done that time and again is Sandhya Shekar. She is responsible for all the stunning looks that we have been seeing on Deepika Padukone on the Cannes red carpet.
The show stopping black underliner or the coloured wing liner, Sandhya has chosen fierce looks to show on Deepika! Here are 5 times we have loved the art work by the talented makeup artist.
How we love this fierce look on Deepika Padukone! The underliner with a wing on both the inner and outer corner is just what we didn’t know we needed!
Tip: when you do such a statement look, keep the rest of your makeup simple with hair drawn away from the face.
The coral eye liner ticks all boxes for us, and we love the clever way the liner reflects the colour of the shoes Deepika is wearing!
Tip: Experiment with coloured liners as they are all the rage now. If you do not have coloured liners with you, you could try with a liquid lippie! It works just the same!
If you want a really pared down look, just sweep a brown eyeshadow along your upper and lower lash line to create a subtle ‘halo’ around your eye. Finish with oodles of mascara for an understated look.
Tip: This bare look is perfect for when you are wearing highly embellished or elaborate outfits.
Prepping your skin is very important! Makeup does not sit well on uneven or dry skin. So include serums and exfoliators into your skincare routine!
Tip: When you have neon accents in your outfit, you can choose to use one neon colour in your makeup to reflect the shade and tie the look together. For example, since the dress Deepika is wearing has neon green accents and a lot of black, we think a neon green liner would look good with it!
Makeup is all about having fun experimenting. Use colours to explore and create shapes that work well with your features.
Tip: If you are not sure about getting the shape right, use sticky tape to create the stencil and let it guide the design you want to create with eyeshadow.
