Trendy patch jeans are passé in comparison to what we have in store for you today. So fasten your metaphorical seatbelts and prepare yourselves for total hair-domination. If you haven’t heard of the infamous R&D Hairdressing Company, X-precision Creativos, think Andy Warhol of the hair-universe. X-precision Creativos is synonymous with ground-breaking, unreal hair art (known for their innovation in pixelated roots, to familiarize you with their ethos and vibe).

Their latest offering is no less trailblazing. Super Mario hair, which may sound like a cryptic message in hair-game, is in fact, exactly what it describes. Simply put, Super Mario characters dyed onto your tresses. To relive the 90s, it has a pixelated effect—in vein with how you first witnessed the magic of Super Mario, in its 8 bit form. Prep your appetite for nostalgia to leap out of bounds for this one.

A Tokyo Launch

X-precision Creativos launched their latest pixel creation, Mario, at a hair conference in Tokyo, Japan. Reports say that it takes around a week’s worth of work to bring you your favourite video game character to life, a la hair. Done in order to “honour video game culture that framed our childhood”, it’s even been likened to architecture or working with Adobe Photoshop layers.
