This week on BB’s ‘In Focus’, we put Sonakshi Sinha’s gorgeous eye makeup under the scanner. She is known for her classic winged liner, but she switches it up from time to time with special touches. This time, the lady stepped out wearing white eyeliner on her lower waterline, and we had to sit up and take notice!
White eyeliner is a clever way to give the illusion of larger, brighter eyes. You could also use nude eye liner pencil (instead of white) for a more natural looking effect. But these are not the only uses for a white or nude eye liner…
- Perk up your pout
- Sharpen your winged liner
- Inner corner highlight
- Make your eyes look wider
- White wingers
Perk up your pout
Trace a white or nude eye liner pencil (lightly) along your Cupid’s bow, before you apply highlighter for a more defined looking pout.
Sharpen your winged liner
Use a nude or white eye liner to clean up your winged liner and make it look sharper. Draw a thin line beneath your black liner and blend it with a flat brush to get a perfect tip to your wing.
Inner corner highlight
This trend has become very popular, and with good reason. Instantly brighten your look with a dab of white eyeliner on the inner corner of your eyes, near the tear ducts, and blend to open up your eyes.
Make your eyes look wider
Take a cue from Sonakshi Sinha’s makeup and tightline with white eyeliner. When you apply a white eyeliner on your lower water line, it blends with the ‘whites’ of your eyes and gives the appearance of larger eyes.
Skip the black for the winged liner and use white instead! It is a very bold look as the colour is bright, but it is a very fun take on the winged liner look. If it’s good enough for Rihanna, it’s good enough for us!
