“Go big or go home” seems to be the only mantra celebrities have been following of late. The use of colour in makeup was never this big, but the year 2019 changed everything!

Thanks to trend-setters such as Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Deepika Padukone, Ananya Panday and Kareena Kapoor Khan, colourful eye makeup created a storm in the beauty circuit, and looks like this trend is here to stay!

This past week, we spotted a bunch of actresses giving colour a chance. Here’s a beauty round-up of the week for you to take inspiration from.

Blue shimmer

Sonakshi Sinha’s eye makeup game is a party in itself. The diva rocked a blue shimmery pigment on her lids and the inner corner of her eyes. Kudos to Sona’s makeup artist Savleen Manchanda for creating this bomb look; just in time for the party season.

Red hot

We love how time and again Karisma Kapoor reminds us that a bright red pout can instantly take your glamour quotient a notch up. The actress, who’s always sporting a bright pink or red lipstick, once again makes a statement in a vibrant orange-red lip colour. Remember, when everything else fails, a red lip can work wonders!

Shades of blue

The Sanon sisters are slaying in shades of blue. While Nupur Sanon made heads turn in turquoise shimmer eyeliner, Kriti Sanon sported the Pantone colour of the year 2020: classic blue on her upper lids as well as waterline. If you want to experiment with the trending colour of the year, then take cues from the Sanon sisters.

Brown winged eyeliner

Deepika Padukone makes us believe in the power of a dark brown eyeliner. If you’re not too confident about pulling off vibrant colours to do your eye makeup, then a dark brown can be a great start for you. While it helps you break the monotony from the regular black, it also beautifully stands out.

Rose gold eyes

Actress Rakul Preet Singh ditches shimmer texture for matte. Her rose gold eyeshadow pigment in matte looks oh-so bomb. We love how she’s tied her look together with a thin stroke of eyeliner and a soft coral lipstick. Rakul’s makeup is the perfect example of minimal yet striking.

Charcoal is the new black

Charcoal is the new black

More and more celebrities are replacing black with a quirkier colour to dress their eyes. And no, we’re not complaining. Recently, Bipasha Basu ditched black eyeliner for a charcoal hue, and made it look like the ultimate alternative to the good old black.
