Deepika Padukone in ‘Padmavat’
The newlywed Deepika Padukone played a royal bride in the period drama Padmavat in early 2018. The heavy jewellery, gorgeous warm-hued lehengas and DP’s beautiful eyes left us in awe. Her makeup mostly included thick eyeliner, nude lips and defined eyebrows. You might have noticed that the bindi oozed royalty and simplicity.
Kareena Kapoor Khan in ‘Veere Di Wedding’
The dewy bridal makeup look and offbeat yellow lehenga by Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla stole the show and obviously our hearts. Bollywood makeup artist Mickey Contractor was the person behind making Bebo look breathtakingly gorgeous with fuller brows, light smokey eyes, understated contour and creamy nude lips. The contrasting red bindi completes the look. It is no doubt a refreshing look and perfect for a summer wedding.
Alia Bhatt in ‘Two States’
The beautiful South Indian wedding set in the backdrop of Mahabalipuram Temples was inarguably the best bit of the movie. Alia looked extremely elegant and pretty in the red Banarasi lehenga and orange blouse. Her defined eye makeup, bold red lips, fanned out lashes and little red bindi was enough to make us drool and plan our wedding look then and there.
Anushka Sharma in ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’
Anushka Sharma played a peppy girl from Lucknow whose fashion sense was always on point. As a bride, she donned an embroidered red and peach lehenga with double dupatta. Her makeup was minimalistic with dramatic, kohl-rimmed eyes, creamy peach lips and soft blush. She looked glistening and glowing in her simple wedding look.
