We at BeBeautiful are always looking for beauty inspiration and believe us when we say this—we know when we see good makeup.

This week, like most other weeks, Bollywood divas stepped out wearing some chic outfits, trendy hairdos and lush makeup that got us intrigued. From vintage braided buns, to plum, berry makeup to teal blue eyes—we saw some exciting beauty looks this week and couldn’t help but decode these looks for you. Read on…

Shraddha Kapoor’s side braid and teal blue eyes

Shraddha Kapoor’s side braid and teal blue eyes

Shraddha Kapoor is the one actor who is not afraid to experiment with her makeup—one day she is wearing heavy smokey eyes and the very next look will be all about nudes; some days it’s a simple pony, other days she is carrying an elaborate braid. Recently, we saw her sporting a cute side-braid with a dash of blue-kohl and statement silver accessories. We totally loved this urban-bohemian combination.

Shraddha’s twisted side braid in this look is all things boho chic and the fact that she teamed it with a sudden dash of blue kohl and soft smokey eyes—just elevates the look tenfold. To replicate Shraddha’s look, we suggest you use the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Kajal in blue sapphire. It will give you just the right pop of colour for this otherwise smokey look.

Diana Penty’s wine, plum eyes and bobby pinned hair

Diana Penty’s wine, plum eyes and bobby pinned hair

With this very urban, chic look Diana Penty has taken the plum, berry eyes a few notches higher. Colourful eye makeup can be tricky but this carefully crafted look does complete justice to wine hued eyes. Penty has managed to team this subtle, lush makeup look with a rather chic hairdo that complements her outfit to the T.

It might seem like Diana is wearing deep wine hued eyeshadow but if you look closely you will see that the upper dome of her eyes is kept neutral and the purple has been smoked out only on the sockets. To get this carefully crafted eye look, start with a rosy, light berry shade like the first shade from Lakmé’s 9 To 5 Eye Quartet Eyeshadow Palette - Desert Rose. Add deeper berry accents towards the outer corners of your eyelids for more drama and keep the upper dome more neutral.

To accentuate wine hued eyes, keep the rest of your makeup nude and neutral. Balance the nude lips with barely-there blush and to replicate Diana’s hairdo use bobby pins to neatly tuck your side parting.

Taapsee's Braided Bun is straight from the Victorian era

Taapsee's Braided Bun is straight from the Victorian era

Bollywood Taapsee Pannu wore this very Victorian braided bun with a vintage blouse and that combination just made this look one of favourites from the week that was.

Taapsee's Victorian hairdo enhanced her facial features and her defined jaw line. While the soft makeup made her hair stand out.

To get a braid just like Taapsee’s start with a perfect middle parting. Starting from the crown up, right up to the nape of your neck, divide your hair into 2 sections. Take a little section of hair from your left parting and tie it up. Do the same for your right side. Just make sure you leave a bit of hair at the bottom. Take this section from bottom and tie your hair into a low pony and do a simple three-stranded braided. Do a low bun and secure it with bobby pins. Now move to the right side. Create a trianglular section by using your pinky finger and start making a Dutch braid. Secure the ends with a band. Repeat the same on the left side now. Now, take the right braid and drape it to the left and the left one to the right. Secure both braids with bobby pins and enjoy this vintage bun.

While the braiding and styling will give you just the hairdo, we suggest you use a heat protectant like the Toni & Guy Heat Protection Mist to protect your hair against breakage caused by styling. The mist will also create a moisture screen for your hair so it doesn’t feel dry.
