The recently concluded LFW W/F ’18 has left us wanting for more glitz, glamour and glitterati. We cannot get over how striking each and every show presented something unique in terms of makeup and hair.

We want to bring you the trendiest looks we saw over the five days of the Lakmé Fashion Week. One such look was Karisma Kapoor’s showstopper look from Arpita Mehta’s show. She stole the show in a black fusion ensemble that combined a saree with a sheer cape like long jacket. Her hair was parted in the centre and left loose in sleek subtle waves. The emphasis was on Karisma’s eyes which were smokey with a hint of glitter.

Face

Face

Start with the C-T-M routine and make sure you skin is moisturised properly. Dry skin does not hold makeup well and highlights imperfections more. Use two shades of the Kareena Kapoor Khan range by Lakmé Absolute Face Contour, one in a shade closest to your skin tone and another in a shade that is two or three times darker than your skin tone. Apply the first in a thin layer all over your face and blend well. Apply the darker shade on the hollows of your cheeks and blend. This accentuates your cheek bones and gives you a more sculpted look. Set the foundation with a setting powder like Lakmé 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder.

Eyes

Eyes

The focal point of this look is the eyes. Karisma Kapoor goes for a dark smokey look with a hint of glitter. Start with the Kareena Kapoor Khan Lakmé Absolute Eye Definer in Onyx and draw a thick line on the upper eye lid. You can draw as thick as line as you wish, but do not go over the eye crease. Now use the sponge provided on one end of the pencil and smudge out the eye pencil. Use a glittery eye shadow like the silver shades from Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette in Silver, and apply it just under the brow. This nicely highlights the eyes and adds a bit of intrigue to the look. Use the Kareena Kapoor Khan Lakmé Absolute Eye Definer in Graphite and fill in your brows.

Lips

Lips

Since the eyes are heavily done, the rest of the face is kept nude. That is why you don’t need any strong colour on the cheeks and lips. A nude-pink colour on the lips like the Kareena Kapoor Khan Lakmé Absolute Pout Definer in Blushing Temptress is a great option. Or if you prefer, you could just line your lips with a lip definer in a pale colour like Rouge and that also works well.

Karisma’s hair is simple and elegant and is parted in the centre and left loose in sleek, soft, subtle waves.
