The wedding season is on in full swing… and guess what? We have just the right kind of makeup-spiration for you to look like a million bucks. Last week, we caught Dabangg girl Sonakshi Sinha slaying it while promoting a new song from her upcoming film Dabangg 3. While she looked drop-dead stunning in a hot pink embellished saree, full points to her makeup team for adding pop colours to her eye makeup that complemented her traditional attire. A hybrid of pink and purple is what made her eye makeup look absolute bomb!
If you love the look just as much as we do, here’s decoding it to help you recreate it at the next big do.

Face
Step 01: The key to preventing your skin from flaking, peeling or looking cakey in winter is moisturising. Before you put any product on your face, make sure you hydrate your skin well. You can use the Pond’s Super Light Gel Oil Free Moisturiser to keep your skin feeling fresh, even under layers of makeup.
Step 02: Even before you create a base for your makeup, it is important to prep your skin with the help of a primer. Primer will not only make the products glide on smoothly but also hold your makeup in place for a longer time. We suggest you use the Lakmé Absolute Under Cover Gel Face Primer, which is enriched with Vitamin E and leaves your skin feeling soft.
Step 03: Next, create a matte base using the Lakmé Absolute Mattreal Skin Natural Mousse 16hr. Its feather-light texture will feel weightless on the skin and the mousse formula will blend smoothly to leave a matte-powder effect, similar to Sonakshi’s base makeup.
Step 04: Conceal problem areas such as dark spots, blemishes and acne with the help of the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick SPF 20. It’ll give you medium coverage and cover skin imperfections without creasing your under-eyes.
Step 05: For that sun-kissed glow, get your hands on the Lakmé Absolute Highlighter - Moon-Lit and go over with it to highlight the high points of your face such as apple of your cheeks, forehead, bridge of the nose, cupid’s bow and brow bone.
Step 06: The blush is not so overpowering here. So, to add just a little colour on your cheeks, use the Lakme 9 To 5 Pure Rouge Blusher - Nude Flush. Apply using a few upward strokes and you’ll be left with a subtle rosy glow.

Eyes
Step 01: Reach for a purple eyeliner and go over with it on your upper lash line just how you’d normally apply eyeliner. If you don’t have a purple eyeliner, simply get hold of your eyeshadow palette with a purple hue. Take a thin angled brush to apply it close to your upper lash line. You can dampen the brush a little for the shadow to stick better. We suggest you use purple from the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Eye Shadow Palette - Royal Persia.
Step 02: Similarly, dip you’re angled brush in pink eyeshadow from the same palette and go over with it on your waterline.
Step 03: Define your eye makeup further with generous coats of mascara using the Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara - Black.
Step 04: Brush your brows using a spoolie. Then, with the help of the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil - Dark Brown, fill in the gaps for fuller, more defined eyebrows.
Lips
Since the eye makeup is vibrant, you want to keep the lipstick toned down, just like Sonakshi. Use the Elle 18 Go Matte Lip Crayons - 08 Hyper Brown that has a soft texture and is enriched with olive and jojoba oil.
