Trust Sonam Kapoor Ahuja to play with trends like a true-blue diva. This time around, the actress opted for the Pantone Colour of the Year 2020, classic blue to dress up her eyes. Dressed in a Dice Kayek midnight blue button-through longline trench coat, Sonam matched her eye makeup with her outfit.
Sticking to the play-up-one-element rule, Sonam kept her face makeup minimal and went all out with bold and edgy eyes. Here’s a step-by-step guide to help you decode Sonam’s makeup.
Step 01: Hydrate your skin with the Ponds Super Light Gel Oil Free Moisturiser With Hyaluronic Acid + Vitamin E to keep dryness and flaky skin at bay. This lightweight moisturiser boosts skin hydration and keeps your skin feeling fresh.
Step 02: Before you go in with makeup, prep your skin with the Lakmé Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer. This waterproof primer will ensure that your makeup stays put throughout the day.
Step 03: Create a matte base using the Lakmé Perfecting Liquid Foundation. Use a damp sponge to apply foundation evenly all over your face and neck. Blend well for a natural finish.
Step 04: Follow it up with the Lakmé Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick SPF 20. This concealer will help cover skin imperfections such as dark circles and blemishes and provide a smooth finish.
Step 05: Dab the Lakmé Perfect Radiance Compact over areas that tend to crease, such as under your eyes and around your mouth. Doing so will add a protective layer over the skin to keep the harsh UV rays at bay and at the same time, brighten your skin.
Step 06: Go over with a contour stick below your hairline, on your forehead and temples, sides of your nose, hollows of your cheekbones and along your jawline. Contouring will help you achieve a slimmer face and chiselled jawline.
Step 07: Add just a dash of glow to your cheeks with the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Blush Shimmer Brick - In Pink.
Eyes & Lips
Step 01: Brush your brows with a spoolie. Then, reach for an eyebrow pencil such as the Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil to fill in the gaps and to make your brows look fuller.
Step 02: For heavy-duty eye makeup, make sure you prime your lids well before going in with the eyeshadow.
Step 03: With the help of a flat eyeshadow brush, apply the blue hue from the Lakmé 9 To 5 Eye Quartet Eyeshadow - Royal Peacock palette to cover your upper lids entirely. Go beyond your crease line and extend the shadow towards the outer corner of your eyes.
Go over with the same shade on your lower lids and smudge it gently for a soft smokey effect.
Step 04: With a kajal pencil, rim your waterline and tightline your eyes for more definition. You can use the Lakmé Absolute Kohl Ultimate Kajal - Black.
Step 05: Apply generous coats of mascara with the Lakmé Eyeconic Curling Mascara - Black for fuller, voluminous lashes.
Step 06: Finish off your look with a nude lip gloss such as the Lakmé Absolute Plump And Shine Lip Gloss - Beige Shine.
