For a lot of us, working from home means a considerable number of video calls with your team or clients, where it is mandatory to look presentable. So, if this lockdown has you waking up just in time for the morning debrief, you’re in for trouble. Thankfully, we’re here to ensure that you look great on those WHF video calls even if you have very little time… say 10 minutes.
How, you ask? Well, looking amazing on camera doesn’t require too much time or effort. Yes, really! All you need is a super quick beauty routine and you’re good to go!
- Start with your skincare routine, always!
- Apply a little BB cream
- Add concealer to the under eyes
- Add a little blush
- Do your eyes
- Finish it with a lip gloss
Start with your skincare routine, always!
Always start any beauty routine by nourishing your skin with moisturiser. I particularly like the Simple Kind To Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser as its lightweight formula absorbs into my skin like a dream, makes it look plump and healthy instantly and doesn’t feel too heavy under makeup.
Apply a little BB cream
Foundation feels like a bit much for WFH, no? Therefore, replace your usual foundation with the Pond’s White Beauty BB+ Fairness Cream. Since your face always appears slightly blurred on camera, this lightweight BB cream offers just the right amount of coverage without looking too heavy.
Add concealer to the under eyes
We are hoping your under-eye area doesn’t need as much coverage, thanks to all the extra hours of sleep. But just in case, use a little bit of the Lakme Absolute White Intense Liquid Concealer in the inner corner and under eye area to brighten up the area and conceal any discolouration.
Add a little blush
This is that product which will make all the difference and ensure that you look absolutely fab on those video calls. Take a little bit of the Lakme 9 To 5 Pure Rouge Blusher, Coral Punch onto brush and apply it onto the apples of your cheeks. Ensure that you build that product up a little more than usual, as the camera tends to mute down the colour.
Do your eyes
You can take the same blush and apply a little bit of it on your eyes to add some warmth. Next, draw a very thin flick of eyeliner using the Lakme Insta-Liner and apply two coats of the Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara to open up your eyes. Don’t forget to fill in your brows as that will help give your eyes and face a lot more definition.
Finish it with a lip gloss
To finish this quick makeup look, line your lips with a nude lip pencil and go over with a clear gloss such as the Lakme Lip Gloss – Vanilla. But if you’re in the mood for something slightly more dramatic, then go ahead and apply any lipstick colour of your choice.
