Oh, hi there! No, not you! We are not talking to you. We are talking to the new visitor you have on your cheek! The pimple that popped up over night is making itself right at home and enjoying its stay, albeit on your face.

So what do you do? It is best to keep your skin free of makeup until the pimple heals. But we know you cannot hide indoors until it clears and if you are anything like us, you definitely cannot go too many days without makeup. With a little corrector, concealer, foundation and setting powder, you can make the pimple temporarily disappear! Interested? Here is how...

Step 01

Step 01

Primer

Choose a primer that is suitable for your skin type. Use a lightweight, oil-free primer and dab it on your face and use circular motions to blend it. This will help create an even base for the makeup to be applied on.

Step 02

Step 02

Corrector

Red and green are on the opposite ends of the colour wheel and hence cancel each other out. Dab a little green colour corrector on the pimples and other areas that are red, and blend well. Use the colour corrector sparingly.

Step 03

Step 03

Concealer

Dab a concealer that matches your skin tone closely onto the affected area and blend well. Remember less is more and use just enough to be able to cover the problem area.

Step 04

Step 04

Foundation

Preferably, use a full coverage foundation and dab it all over your face and use tapping motions or stippling motions with your brush or sponge and blend it into your skin.

Step 05

Step 05

Setting powder

You have reached the end of the process, and your pimples must be near-invisible right now. The last step is to lightly dust a setting powder all over your face so the makeup stays matte for a longer while.
