Home Made Beauty Tips With Household Items

There’s no doubt that when a new season comes around, we love to switch our makeup routine with a few beauty tricks. But it isn’t always effective to splurge on the first item you see in the shop window. In an effort to rustle up your routine, don’t go overboard with unnecessary splurges that will dent your bank account. Instead, turn to your kitchen counter and washroom cabinet for some home made beauty tips and tricks. Some of the best beauty products can be found in your household itself, which we’re all set to reveal to you.

For white nails

After constant usage of nail polish, we’re often left in the lurch with yellowed nails, regardless of applying a base coat. To remedy this, get out your whitening toothpaste, which is generally of a thick white consistency. Over buffed nails, apply a thick layer of toothpaste on each nail. Scrub it all over the nail and then leave it for 10 to 20 minutes. Wash off with warm water for bright, whiter nails.

For fuller lips

While lip plumping products are always an option, a more affordable alternative is peppermint oil. The amazing oil is an ingredient in lip products used to give that fuller appearance and tingling feel. Separate your lip gloss in a different container and add a single drop of peppermint oil to it. Mix it thoroughly and apply it for lush, plump lips naturally!

For white teeth

The banana is a wonder fruit but did you know it’s peel can be beneficial too? The high content of potassium and magnesium in the peel can serve your teeth well. After peeling off the skin from the banana, turn the underside of it outwards and rub it over your teeth. Continue to do so for 5 minutes and then gargle. Repeat this twice a day and this perfectly natural homemade beauty tip will give you sparkling white teeth in a few weeks!

For exfoliating your lips

Before you can whip up a sugar scrub for those chapped lips, take a easier route. Simply take a dollop of vaseline petroleum jelly on a soft bristled toothbrush and scrub gently at your lips. Continue to do for 5 minutes or until the dry skin is gone. Then apply the Vaseline Lip Therapy balm for added lip protection.

For a clean razor

Did you know that vodka can help give your skin a smooth shave too? After prolonged usage of your razor, it can collect hair and accumulate residue. Make a solution of half water and half vodka in a cup and soak your razor in it for half an hour. This will help cut out any grime from your razor and help sharpen it.

While painting our nails with glitter polish is always a thrilling task, removing it is a battle. But never again! Over your bare nails, use a brush to apply a film of fevicol over them. Let it dry completely after which, you can proceed to paint your nails with glitter polish. Once you tire of them, use the tip of your nail file to peel off the layer of dried adhesive in the corner. Then use the edge to peel off the entire coat without any hassle!
