You have all done it. Sneaked a peek in the weekly/yearly predictions and read your horoscope and then secretly glanced a look at your crush’s zodiac. The Zodiac and the sun sign you were born under dictates a large part of your characteristics. But did you know that your sun sign also subtly influences what kind of makeup you wear, and the colours you gravitate towards?
- The Fire Signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
- The Water Signs – Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
- The Earth Signs – Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
- The Air Signs – Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
The Fire Signs – Aries, Leo and Sagittarius
These signs are characteristically fiery and feisty. Their makeup should also be bold and fearless and show their natural flair and confidence.
What to include in your makeup: bright reds, fiery oranges and royal purples look very good on you. A bright bold, red lip also could be your calling card.
The Water Signs – Cancer, Scorpio and Pisces
These signs are calm, mystical and can run very deep, like the ocean or very turbulent like a raging river. Their makeup should include moody, glossy, glistening colours and textures.
What to include in your makeup: blues, turquoises and teals are great for you. An electric blue smoky eye with loads of mascara is right up your alley!
The Earth Signs – Taurus, Virgo and Capricorn
These signs are stable, grounded and very reliable. Their makeup should include very earthy colour like browns, olives, greys and forest greens.
What to include in your makeup: stick to the ‘it’ trend of the moment, the neutral, no-makeup makeup look. Stay in the beige-brown shade range for all your makeup for this earthy, simplistic look. Opt for soft brown smoky eyes or deep green eye liner for a dramatic take.
The Air Signs – Gemini, Libra and Aquarius
These signs are very mysterious and are often very self-contained people. Their makeup should include moody blues and thoughtful purples and other unique colours.
What to include in your makeup: lengthening mascara, bold blues and dreamy purple eyeshadows. For a twist to your look, try a mint green eyeshadow.
