Eye trends have taken centre stage in 2020 mainly because wearing masks is the new normal, and our peepers are all that’s showing through. Over the past few months we saw a rise in simple yet stunning eye makeup trends as makeup lovers all over the world tried some never-seen-before looks using bright eyeshadow shades, mascaras and coloured liners.
One eye makeup trend that has been flooding our social media feeds recently is the bright lower lashes look. It’s super trendy, looks edgy and pretty doable if you ask us. Here are five bright lower lash looks to get you started.

Adding bright colours to our eye makeup looks is our most favourite thing to do. But if you are just getting started, begin with something that’s not way out of your comfort zone. Give your black mascara and eyeliners a break and try the Lakme Eyeconic Curling Mascara - Royal Blue. Apply a few strokes on both the upper and lower lashes or get experimental and highlight only your lower lashes.

A bright coloured mascara can instantly add heaps of drama to any look. Use a stunning orange mascara only on your lower lashes to add a subtle highlight to your makeup look.

Haven’t had the chance to get your hands on coloured mascaras yet? No problem, use Lakme Absolute Kohl Ultimate The Gelato Collection on the lower lash line. Draw a precise and neat line starting from the inner corner of the eyes, extending a little outside of your lash line. Pick bright colours like yellow, green or orange to ace the trend.

Highlighting your lower lashes doesn’t necessarily require a coloured eyeliner or mascara. You can achieve the look using one of the bright shades from your eyeshadow palette too! Pick a bright colour on your angled eyeshadow brush and gently sweep it across your lower lash line to get the look.

Bright shades like green, yellow and orange can be a little overwhelming for someone who hasn’t tried coloured eye makeup products. You can try a burgundy mascara that stands out yet isn’t too bold or attention grabbing.
