Every woman dreams of having lush, dramatically fluttery lashes. While some of you are blessed with naturally long and lustrous ones, the rest of us aren’t. But hey, that’s no reason to give up now, is it?

The falsies are here to rescue you! They are quite the brilliant invention for sure, but putting on the false lashes can prove to be pretty problematic too!

The foremost rule or reason for wearing falsies is to make your lashes look phenomenally breathtaking, yet convincingly natural.

Here are some of the dos and don'ts for stepping up your eyelashes game using falsies!

#1 Don’t apply false lashes directly.

#1 Don’t apply false lashes directly.

The entire purpose of wearing false lashes is to have stunningly long and lustrous yet natural-looking lashes. Never wear falsies without trimming them to the length of your lash line. If you leave them hanging over, they will pull down over your eyes and not look the least bit flattering. Measure your lash line and cut your falsies to the exact length, making sure that you cut them from the outer corner and not from the inside.

#2 Apply the lash glue like a pro!

The amount of lash glue that you apply to your falsies has a crucial role to play in their eventual appearance. Always apply a small amount at the centre and more at the corners. Ensure that you evenly spread out the glue across the lash band.

#3 Don’t go overboard with the glue!

Too much glue can prove to be harmful to your natural lashes. Always apply a bare minimum amount of glue to the lash band. Excessive glue can get on the inside of your eyes, causing much irritation to them.

We all know that fresh glue can be pretty slippery. Avoid applying the false lashes right after you’ve applied the glue onto the lash band. Once the glue has been put on, let it air dry for a couple of seconds to allow for its stickiness to surface. Then, place it carefully on your lash line.

#5 Stick your lashes right over your lash line!

How you place your false lashes on your natural ones plays a crucial role in how your final look turns out. Make sure that you stick your falsies right over your lash line without leaving any space in between. You can always use a pair of tweezers to get those desired levels of precision.

Apply a coat of mascara onto your false lashes to make them blend in with your natural ones. It’ll help provide the much desired lift to your lashes and make them look seamlessly stunning!
