Thanks to Instagram, we have new makeup trends cropping up every day. We don’t have to wait for fashion weeks to know what the season’s latest trend is going to be. Makeup artists are constantly creating new looks and trying out new products and it is difficult to keep up! You wear one colour eye liner one day thinking it is ‘in’ only to find out the next day there is a new colour on the block.
No matter how fast paced the makeup world is, we at BeBeautiful are always on the lookout for new and funky makeup trends that are having a moment. The latest thing we picked up is neon eyes. Hi-vis pinks, yellows and greens are making a mark on the makeup world. Lips, eyes and nails are being painted in neon shades.
Neon colours in makeup have had a bad rep for the longest time. We give you gorgeous neon eye looks that are subtle and yet statement. Your initial reaction might be one of caution, but wait till you see these trends; you might just be tempted into trying these neon trends yourself!
Bright coral matte eye shadow and mascara and freckles never looked better. Use the same eye shadow on the apples of your cheeks and blend, and use a transparent lip gloss for this look.
For the experimental beauty souls out there, this look is an out-doorsy holiday look. Sweep a lighter colour eye shadow on the entire lid and draw a floating eyeliner in a darker shade just at the crease.
You could even use two separate shades of neon! Use one shade on the upper eye lid and a different one on the lower lash line and create a beautiful effect.
Here is a very interesting way of using neon colour on your eyes. Dab a bright colour just on the inner corners of your eyes, near the tear ducts, for a subtle burst of colour.
You could even do a smokey eye and just dot a little neon colour on the inner corners for a stunning effect. You could also add a touch of the same neon colour on the outer corner with a sleek wing.
Here is making a case for neon green as eyeliner. Keep the rest of your look minimal so this bright colour does not clash with your makeup.
Who would have thought yellow eyeliner could look so striking? Draw a thin line close to your upper lash line and load your lashes with mascara for a fun quirky look.
Use a neon green eye shadow all over your eye socket and a little on your lower lash line for this gorgeous look.
