We are absolute suckers for any makeup trend that makes our skin look radiant and glowing. You too? If yes, then here’s a new makeup trend you’re going to be diggin’ – balmy skin.
This amazing makeup look is all about healthy skin with that beautiful lit-from-within glow that most of us love. The best part? You don’t need to use blush and bronzer to create this look. How cool is that?
So, without further ado, let’s find out just how to create this stunning makeup look…
- Step 01: Prep your skin first
- Step 02: Apply a little bit of highlighter
- Step 03: Time for some coverage
- Step 04: Set it all in place
- Step 05: Finishing touches
Step 01: Prep your skin first
Since this look is all about healthy, supple skin, you need to prep and moisturise your skin well. Apart from the usual cleansing and toning, exfoliate your skin using the St. Ives Gentle Smoothing Oatmeal Scrub and Mask. Next, apply a hydrating moisturiser such as the Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturiser all over your face and neck. This will plump up your skin and create a smooth canvas for makeup to glide on.
Step 02: Apply a little bit of highlighter
After prepping your skin, apply a pore minimizing primer such as the Lakme Absolute Blur Perfect Makeup Primer to give your skin even texture. Next, take about two drops of a liquid highlighter and apply it all over your face and neck. This is what will give you that lit-from-within glow.
Step 03: Time for some coverage
Now, it’s time to give your face that post-vacation glow, by going over the highlighter with a foundation. Refrain from using a full coverage matte foundation as it will only defeat the purpose. Instead, apply a bit of the Lakme 9 to 5 Complexion Care Face Cream all over your face and neck and blend it using a foundation. If you think you need a bit more coverage, you can always apply concealer to hide those imperfections.
Step 04: Set it all in place
For people with excessively oily skin, use a bit of loose powder or lightly dust some compact using a fluffy brush to restrict excess shine and sebum production. But if you have normal skin, simply spray on a generous amount of a makeup setting spray to set your makeup in place.
Step 05: Finishing touches
Since this look doesn’t require any blush or bronzer, you could play up your eyes with oodles of mascara and matte brown eyeshadow. Apply a nude lipstick or lip balm and you’re good to go.
