Contour before foundation
Contour your face before you apply foundation. This makes the contour look natural. While applying the foundation be sure to use ‘patting’ motions to gently set the product in place without disturbing the contour underneath. Use a light foundation like the LakméArgan Oil Serum Foundation that offers sheer coverage, allowing the underneath contour to still be seen.
Contour for higher cheekbones
The secret to looking younger is defining your cheekbones. This ‘pulls’ your face upwards and outwards, giving you an instant facelift. Use a foundation that is two shades darker than your natural skin tone and dab it just in the hollows of your cheeks, (just below your cheekbones). Suck your cheeks in and apply the contour shade just in the hollows, and be sure not to extend it till your hairline. Also, maintain a width of two fingers from your nose.
The old trick is still the best. Just smile into the mirror and apply blush at the fullest part of your cheeks and blend upwards and outwards. This adds ‘lift’ to the face. We love the Lakmé Absolute Illuminating Shimmer Brick which adds a subtle sheen to you cheeks.
Eyeliner and mascara
Apply eye liner or pencil just on the outer corners of your eyeson the upper and lower lash lines to make your eyes look wider. Apply loads of mascara to open up the eyes. We love the Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara which gives volume and intense colour to your lashes.
Shape your eyebrows
Another easy way to give your face a ‘lift’ is to understand what eyebrow shape best compliments your face and maintain it. Make sure to fill in your brows and define the arch. Use a small amount of highlighter just below the arch to lift them even more.
