We all love our good old makeup brushes and beauty blenders but it’s honestly not everyone’s cup of tea. However fancy it may seem to have a brush for every step in your makeup routine, it’s close to impossible to get a complete look in a few minutes before running to college or work.
So for all you makeup rookies, we have made your life much simpler by giving you a few tips to ace that basic makeup look using just your fingers.
P.S: Don’t forget to sanitize your hands before application!
Using your fingers to apply foundation over your face and neck allows the product to be applied evenly all across, giving it a natural and dewy look. Start by taking a small amount of liquid foundation and apply small dots of the product across your face. Then, use the tips of your fingers to gently dab the product on your skin making sure it’s evenly blended. Blending across areas like the nose and the corners of the lip become much easier with your fingers.
Take some cream blush on the back of your hand and warm the product by rubbing it with your fingertips. Dab the colour on the apples of your cheek and blend away. Blending is the key to a flawless and natural look! Often, a brush may give you a blotchy look, but your fingers will give you a seamless, flushed glow.
Take your preferred eye shadow colour and simply dab and apply the product on your eyelids. Make sure to blend after every swipe/application so that it gives a flawless look. Repeat the steps till you get just the right amount of pigmentation.
To take it a notch higher and apply some liquid eyeliner or use a kohl pencil to slightly line your lash and then smudge it to get a more smoky and grungier look.
While using a lipstick or liquid lip colour is fairly easy and quick, sometimes all you want is a slight hint of colour to complete your natural makeup look. Grab your favorite lip colour and rub it on the tips of your fingers—the warmth from your fingers makes blending the product much easier. You can apply it all over your lips or simply dab some on the centre of the lips.
