This was undoubtedly the best bridal makeup to bring LFW to a grand close –We loved the lilac stones that makeup expert Daniel Bauer placed on the model’s eyelashes on the top and bottom that added more than enough drama to the face. And like his advice to all brides-to-be, since he played up the eyes, he went with a light coral lip and muted the rest of the face.
In a stark contrast to most of the corals seen on the ramp, we loved this mixture of clean, über glossy skin and a bold pout. We have highlighted red lips enough, so when we saw them worn with an ivory ensemble and old school jhumkas, we knew it had all the makings of an instant hit for this wedding season.
With all the chatter surrounding the cat eye, we were surprised we didn’t see it too much on the runway but when we did spot it on Anita Dongre’s brides, it was accompanied by shimmer shadow in bronze, thick brows, loads of mascara and of course a not-so-traditional maang tikka.
While Lisa Haydon’s outfit isn’t meant for your pheras or the reception, we think it’d make for an excellent cocktail outfit. We love how her blue shadow and orange lips perfectly balance out the simplicity of the navy raw silk lehenga.
