Diwali season is the time new trends and styles start showing up on the Instagram feeds of our favourite influencers, stylists and stars. As always, we have our scanners trained on our favourite stars to see what new makeup look or hairstyle they are going to pull out of the bag for the season. We looked up the Instagram accounts of a few Bollywood actresses and their stylists to see if we could decode what is inspiring their festive moods and fashions this year.

After an incredible transformation and a stunning performance in ‘Saand ki Aankh’, Taapsee Pannu certainly seems to be in high spirits these days. Her stylist, Devki B recently posted a picture of her on Instagram looking splendid in a gorgeous red dress. Taapsee Pannu can be seen effortlessly carrying off her waist length hair in a low ponytail, complemented by a beautiful pearl maangtika and diamond studded earrings. Her makeup (done by @saniya_shadadpuri) looks soft and elegant, with a reddish pink lipstick and eyeshadow, and deep red nail paint to match her outfit. We’re certainly enthralled!

The femme fatale who has captured the hearts of millions in the country, Disha Patani has proven time and again that there isn't a look she cannot pull off!. Disha Patani can be seen wearing a soft yet dusky evening look that matches brilliantly with her beautiful brown hair and an exquisite powder blue lehenga. That pink lipstick and eyeshadow only work to enhance her already captivating features. We sure can’t wait for her next movie on the big screen. For now though, we’re happy being mesmerised by her pictures on Instagram.

With her recent release 'Saaho' making waves at the box office, Shraddha Kapoor’s confidence certainly seems to soaring. Born with girl-next-door looks and a face fresher than a daisy, there are few women who can rock a desi look like she does. She posted a picture of her showcasing her festive mood at the Expo 2020 in Dubai, donning a gorgeous sharara designed by Tarun Tahiliani (@taruntahiliani), with her hair tied back and a few locks teased out to frame her face. We certainly can’t avert our gaze from how wonderfully that mascara seems to embellish those big beautiful eyes.

This multi-talented diva made the entire country go weak in the knees with her sensational debut as Mridula in Karan Johar’s ‘Student of the Year 2’. She certainly can carry off a traditional outfit just as well as a western one. And if you’re asking for proof of the latter, you need to look no further than the picture she posted on Instagram a couple of days ago sporting a beautiful jacquard ensemble. That blush on her cheeks only adds further definition to those stunning cheekbones. Can we all take a moment to just admire how captivating she seems in her festive look?

What do you get when a beautiful Bollywood belle like Kriti Sanon dons an exquisite piece of work by Anita Dongre? Well, the question was rhetorical, but we’ll still answer it for you. You get bedazzled! Fresh from her success of ‘Luka Chuppi’ and expecting to score another home run with ‘Housefull 4’ which releases this Diwali, there seems to be no stopping this enchantress. As for her look, we’ve never seen red and gold look so perfect on anyone before. A red lipstick, a red bindi, golden hooped earrings and a dark brown eyeshadow, all seem to be announcing the arrival of Diwali louder than any firecrackers we could burst this year!

Another gorgeous actress who will be setting the screen on fire with ‘Housefull 4’ this Diwali, Kriti Kharbanda not only shares her first name with her co-star, but seems to share her fine taste in fashion as well. Brightening up our Diwali with a dash of colour mixed with glamour, this picture posted by make-up artist Heema Dattani is a textbook example of getting your festive look right. Wearing a colourfully embellished lehenga, elegant pearl hooped earrings, her hair tied back and a few locks set loose on her face, she certainly seems to be exuding the oomph factor by the tons. A soft pink eye shadow coupled with a bright pink lip only serves to enhance all that charm she seems to be throwing around this Diwali. ‘Tis certainly a Happy Diwali this year, isn’t it?
