There is nothing more traditionally Indian than a bun. It is a sleek, simple and stylish approach towards any celebration look. A well-wrapped bun will completely enhance your outfit, be it a contemporary Kurta or a classic saree. Wrap some Gajra around it or place an elegant hairpin in the centre to complete the look.

If a bun feels too boring then go for this easy yet elegant hair style. Firstly the part your hair at the centre grab two sections from each side of the crown area. Twist each side and bring them together at the back, now secure them with bobby pins. Adds flowers or Gajra to the hairdo for a traditional touch.

Side Knot

A similar variant of the above hairstyle, this one is simple and easy to recreate and looks great on long hair. Start by parting your hair at the centre and make two small braids on each side.  Keep one braid shorter than the other and merge them slightly towards the side of your head. Make a bun using the ends of the shorter braid and pin it up to hold the hair in place. You can keep the remaining hair straight and simple or make soft curls using a curling iron.

Soft Curls

If you hair is naturally a little curly or you’re looking for a more contemporary and quick look, then style your hair in a way that will last all day long. Use the curling iron to slightly curl your hair and create multiple soft curls. For a more playful look curl them into thick coils.
