It is that time of the year when you get to wear the most dazzling and colourful of outfits, look your best and dance till the sun comes up. So, are you ready to bring your A-game?
The tradition is to wear nine different coloured outfits to represent the nine nights, and we are sure you have planned your matchy-matchy outfit already. Since we already gave you some nice hairstyles that stay put while you dance the night away, it’s now time to take care of your makeup. And no, you cannot go with your regular kohl-rimmed eyes and red lips every day. Na-uh!
Here’s an idea! Why not add these lovely Navratri colours to your makeup as well? Let us show you how you can team your outfits with stunning makeup on all nine nights of Navratri.
- Day 1: September 29: Orange
- Day 2: September 30: White
- Day 3: October 1: Red
- Day 4: October 2: Blue
- Day 5: October 3: Yellow
- Day 6: October 4: Green
- Day 7: October 5: Grey
- Day 8: October 6: Purple
- Day 9: October 7: Peacock green
Day 1: September 29: Orange

Since orange is an overpowering colour itself, go for a peachy orange pout and an edgy elongated wing. Colour your lower lash line with an orange eyeshadow to make your eyes pop. Finish with a pretty peach blush.
Day 2: September 30: White

Rock white haze eye makeup with your white outfit and steal the show. Take a white kajal pencil, line your eyes and smudge it around the inner corner of your eyes and upper lids. Team it with a nude lip.
Day 3: October 1: Red

For your ravishing red outfit, instead of a red lip or burgundy lids, simply line your lower lash line with red eyeliner or lip liner. Wear a black liner on the upper lid, lots of mascara and a nude lip colour.
Day 4: October 2: Blue

On the fourth day, go bold with blue. Frame your eyes in a gorgeous dark blue. If you want a smokey eye look, smudge the colour with an angled brush. Wear a nude gloss and let your eyes do all the talking.
Day 5: October 3: Yellow

If you’re wearing an Indo-western outfit like a yellow skirt with a crisp white shirt, here is how you can go mellow with yellow. Right below your regular wing, draw a tiny yellow wing for a minimal yet stunning look.
Day 6: October 4: Green

Including green hues in your makeup is easier than you think. Line your upper lash line with a shiny green wing, pair it with your green outfit with and you’re all set.
Day 7: October 5: Grey

Slay with silvery grey lids on the seventh night. This glamourous look is oh-so pretty and easy to achieve too. Just paint your entire upper lid with shimmery silver and skip the liner. Instead, wear heavy mascara and a nude lip.
Day 8: October 6: Purple

Play around with colours and rock the colour-blocked makeup look with a peppy purple on the lids and a powder pink on the lips. Go easy on the blush and do your eyebrows for a balanced look.
Day 9: October 7: Peacock green

As the nine-day festival comes to an end, on the last day, keep your makeup look subtly gorgeous with a smudged liner in beautiful peacock green. Line your eyes with peacock green and soften it out with your eyeshadow brush. Tie the look together with a berry lip colour.
