The Metropolitan Museum for Art in New York is getting ready to open its doors to the Met Gala 2019 and we are looking forward to what the evening unfolds! The theme for this edition is ‘Camp’, and we cannot wait to see how celebrities and their styling teams interpret it!

We will bring to you the best beauty looks from the Met Gala after the event today, but until then, let us take a looksee at the Bollywood divas that have shined bright (and one even met her husband!) at the event in the last few years.

Deepika Padukone debuted at the 2017 Met Gala in a somewhat safe outfit, although it had its own daring details. Like the low back and the slinky, satin dress was on the safer side of daring. We did, however, love the hair accessory she wore. The head band with the star bursts made for a tiara that perfectly complemented her severe hairstyle.

What we loved: the feline flick, and the bronzy nude makeup.

Priyanka Chopra Jonas famously met her future husband, Nick Jonas at the 2017 Met Gala. We love the trench coat Ralph Lauren dress with the long train (fitting that her wedding RL dress also featured a long train).

What we loved: The slightly messy top knot and the sweep of champagne on the lids and the brown lips are just… perfect!

Amongst the highly imaginative costumes by Rihanna (the Pope costume), Katy Perry (remember the wings?), Madonna (the cross-laden crown and veil) and Cardi B, Priyanka Chopra Jonas still managed to stand out. We adore this Ralph Lauren velvet dress with the beaded and jewelled cape and hood.

What we loved: The golden glittery chunk eyeshadow that had texture and the tight finger waves on her hair.

Deepika Padukone again played it safe with this red Prabal Gurung number with an exaggerated shoulder and train.

What we loved: We loved the on-trend wet-hair look that she wore slicked back and paired it with equally dewy skin. The pop of red on her lips perfectly went with the dress and he only accessories were the diamond danglers on her ears.
