We are still not over how chic the Fair and Lovely girl, Yami Gautam’s transformation has been. She got herself a textured bob a few weeks ago, and she has been giving us lessons on how to style short hair with just about every kind of outfit.

She posted a picture of her in a turquoise and pink floral cropped tube top with a matching skirt with a high slit and we were floored. The sunny beach, her makeup the oversized glasses and her perfectly tousled hair were utter goals. We decode her look so you can achieve the same!

Are you in front of your mirror? Do you have your trusty tools and products at hand? Get.. set.. and go!
Yami

We love the clean and fresh look Yami is sporting and the perfectly tousled hair. She has kept her skin bare and has a hint of pink on her lips. Her eyes have just a hint of eyeliner and loads of mascara on her curled lashes. She keeps her eyebrows immaculately groomed and filled in. Her hair! Oh how we love her hair! It is so beautifully textured and the way she wears that length, casually flicked to one side makes us want to get a bob as well.

Face:

Start with the usual C-T-M routine and make sure you have a clean base to apply your make up on. Since this look is all about keeping the makeup light and clean, apply a foundation like Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Serum Foundation. Make sure you apply it with a light hand and you can always build up the coverage depending on your skin’s requirements. Next you need to conceal the problem areas on your skin, like brown spots, discolourations and pigmentations. Use Lakmé Absolute White Intense Concealer Stick and dab it on the spots that need concealing. Blend with your index finger in light tapping motions. Set this base with a loose powder like Lakmé 9 to 5 Naturale Finishing Powder, concentrating on the ‘T’ zone as this is where it tends to be oily.

Lips:

Use a nude-to-peachy shade like Lakmé Absolute Argan Oil Lip Color in Caramel Custard on your lips and dab a little of the same shade on the apple of your cheeks and blend upwards and outwards. This is a genius beauty hack and it ties up your look together neatly as you have the same shade both on your lips and cheeks.

Yami

Eyes:

Yami has kept her eyes simple yet attractive with long curled eyelashes and eyeliner. Use Lakmé 9to5 Naturale Gel Kajal and line the upper lash line making sure the line is thin towards the inner corner and thickens towards the outer corner. This makes your eyes look wider. Curl your lashes using a lash curler and coat them with two or three coats of Lakmé Absolute Flutter Secrets Dramatic Eyes Mascara. Use Lakmé Absolute Precision Eye Artist Eyebrow Pencil in Dark Brown and carefully fill in the patches on your eyebrow. You can go as dark or as light with the strokes, depending on the look you want to achieve. You could also go slightly above and slightly below your natural brow-line to make them look thicker. Be careful, as you don’t want your brows to look unnatural.

Hair:

Yami’s hair looks just perfect for a stroll on the beach with bae, don’t you think? Equal parts flirty and easy-to-maintain, this style lends itself very well for the beach. Wash your hair and towel-dry it. When it is still wet, spray a texturising sea-salt spray like Toni&Guy Casual: Sea Salt Texturising Spray, and scrunch up the hair from the bottom up. This gives you a wavy,  texturised look, just like Yami’s.

So all set? Go on! Go ahead and head to the beach (or just out, actually) and rock your Yami-inspired look!
