Karisma Kapoor is an epitome of grace, beauty and perfection. Even in her 40s, she maintains smooth and glowing skin, gorgeous hair and is in perfect shape. Honestly, you cannot not look at her and momentarily wonder about the secret to her ageless beauty and seemingly effortless fit body. Well, it’s no sheer luck.
Despite being a star and a busy mama, she makes time for a workout and skincare routine. We caught up with her at the Pinkathon 2019, which she has been a part of since years, and got some tricks from her on staying fit and looking flawless. Take a look.
Obviously, the first question we blurted out was the same she has been asked dozens of times over the years—what is the secret behind that fabulous skin and fit body? She credits her great skin to the Kapoor genes and Pond’s skincare. Talking about how she manages to look so fit and fine, she said, “Fitness has been a part of my life since I was a teenager. I love to do yoga or walk. I keep it very simple and believe in doing everything in moderation. I love to eat but I do it in moderation.”
Her workout routine is surprisingly simple as well. Spilling the beans about her daily workout routine, she said she does yoga or simply walks around her building when she doesn’t have the time or doesn’t want to do anything too intense. “Keep being active all the time” is a fitness mantra she swears by, while you and I are still finding the excuses to hit the gym.
For someone who’s a fitness inspiration to many, you’d wonder who’s one celebrity that gives Lolo fitness goals, right? Well, it’s none other than her baby sister Kareena Kapoor Khan. She said, “Today, people have become so much more aware and are into superfoods and fitness, but how she became size zero ten years ago and super, super fit for a movie at that time was a great inspiration.” When asked about her favourite workout buddy, she said, “It’s music.” She loves working out on her own with just some music and, we totally agree.
When it comes to diets, she told us she never follows any crazy diets and likes to keep it simple. She eats everything in moderation and swears by portion control. So, what’s a cheat day like for her, you’d think. We asked what she indulges in on a cheat day and she said, “What don’t I indulge in, ask that!”
Given that she is so into fitness and has great skin, we asked Karisma what workout form is best for healthy skin according to her. She believes that “cardio, power yoga or even simple yoga and simple things like breathing and meditation can help your skin.”
Ageing gracefully has always been Karisma’s beauty mantra. So, we asked her to share some tips on how to bottle up youthful skin and radiance like herself. She told us, “Wear those few lines on your face beautifully and proudly and at the same time, use Pond’s Age Miracle Range” to look and feel forever young.
