If you are a coffee lover, you’d know how coffee can turn a bad day into a good one. But what you didn’t know is that this natural ingredient has the same superpowers for your skin as well. A powerhouse of antioxidants and caffeic acid, coffee helps exfoliate, brighten and nourish your skin and slows down the signs of ageing.

Coffee face masks are a godsend for all the coffee lovers (cue the intoxicating smell) but coffee haters can also reap the benefits of this natural ingredient.

Here are three nourishing and exfoliating coffee face masks that even the coffee haters will love.

Coffee and honey

While coffee works on removing the dead skin cells and brightening skin complexion, honey is a natural humectant that leaves your skin hydrated and soft. The result is glowing, moisturised skin. Mix two tablespoons of ground coffee and one tablespoon of honey and apply it evenly on your face. Rinse after 15 minutes with lukewarm water and moisturise.

Coffee and pumpkin

If you are dealing with dull skin, this face mask is what you need to include in your skincare routine. Coffee and pumpkin are exfoliating ingredients that rejuvenate the skin, boost collagen and make the skin firm and radiant. Make this anti-ageing solution by adding two tablespoons of fine coffee powder into half a cup of pureed pumpkin. Add rose water for added benefits and a sweet smell. Apply on your face and let it stay for 20 minutes before washing it off. Follow up with a moisturiser.

Coffee, turmeric and yoghurt

Coffee, turmeric and yoghurt

This face mask works like a charm for oily and acne-prone skin. Turmeric is anti-bacterial which fights acne and reduces acne scars, yoghurt zaps excess oil from the face and leaves the skin hydrated, while coffee unclogs the pores and reduces inflammation. Mix two tablespoons of yoghurt and ground coffee and half a teaspoon of turmeric in it. Mix well and apply on cleansed face. Let it sit for 10 minutes and wash off with water.
