Coffee to combat ageing
Coffee is considered one of the best kitchen ingredients for anti-ageing. Apply a mixture of coffee and water to your face and leave it to dry for few minutes. The rich antioxidants in coffee can reduce dark spots, patches and redness. It helps remove layers of dead skin cells making the skin tone lighter and brighter. Due to its rich content of Vitamin B, coffee can also reduce ageing spots, fine lines and wrinkles.
Coffee for dark circles
Mix fine granulated coffee with some coconut or olive oil. Mix it well to make a thin paste. Apply this paste onto your undereye zone and let it sit for a few minutes. Then wash it off with lukewarm water. Coffee’s lightening properties reduce the appearance of dark circles temporarily.
Coffee scrub for face
The granulated texture of coffee makes it one of the best natural exfoliating agents. Avoid bleaching and try some coffee instead to get a glow that will last for days. Mix coffee with lavender or jojoba oil and add a few teaspoons of brown sugar to it. Mix well and keep adding oil till the mixtures turn into a thick paste. Use this mixture as a scrub and gently exfoliate your face. After scrubbing for a few minutes wash your face. This coffee scrub will remove all the dead skin cells and will make your skin breathe again. It will also enhance your skin texture and lighten the skin tone. The oils will simultaneously hydrate, nourish your skin and will heal your pores. Coffee scrubs can also be used as full body scrubs for lighter and softer skin.
Coffee for hair
Antioxidants in coffee work on the hair follicles to make it stronger and fastening hair growth. Take a few cups of hot water in a bowl and add 4 tablespoons of coffee to it. Leave it until the hot water turns warm. Then pour this water on your hair and tie it with a towel for about 20 minutes. You can then wash your hair with a normal shampoo.
