Back in the day, our mom’s and grandmas didn’t have as many beauty products at their disposal as we have now. They had to make do with whatever they had, growing up most of us have used these ‘Daadima Ke Nuske’ at some point. Let’s all admit a classic is a classic, so today we are presenting 5 classic tried and tested natural beauty tricks that still work.
Do you drink Apple Cider Vinegar regularly to detoxify your body? Then why not use it as a toner too? Mix a few drops of ACV in water and use it as a toner after cleansing. It can be also used after shampooing to add shine to hair.
Sugar for exfoliation
Back in the day when scrubs were not available women used sugar mixed with olive oil or honey to exfoliate and red rid of dead skin. It will leave your skin feeling softer and smoother than before.
Cucumber for tired eyes
While spending on high end eye creams may work for some, the process is very slow. Instead to freshen up dull and tired eyes simply use the age old technique of placing slices of cucumber on the eyelids. Cucumbers are super hydrating and also act a cold compress to depuff eyes naturally.
Olive oil as a moisturiser
If you have dry and sensitive skin, applying olive oil on your face can prove to be very beneficial. Your cuticles also require external hydration because of the frequent contact with soap and water, treat them to the goodness of olive oil. Warm 2 tablespoons of olive oil in the microwave for about 30 seconds and dip your fingernails after it has cooled down slightly.
Use ice to tighten pores
Dunking your face in a bowl of cold water work wonders for a tired face. It constricts blood flow thereby tightening skin and pores temporarily. Some women still use this trick before putting on their makeup as it blends easily and gives a smoother surface to work on.
