Hey there, younger me!

You are doing well for yourself and I am sure I’m going to be proud of you when I look back at you. But I am not so sure I’ll be proud of the way you are treating your skin. Yes, I get that it’s your time to have fun and eat junk and live your life but could you do yourself (I mean me, an older and wiser you) a favour and take these beauty lessons into consideration so you don’t have any regrets 30 years down the road? Thanks! Also, P.S. the pants you love so much right now aren’t in vogue anymore.

Let’s just start with the beauty tips you need to know...

Take your skincare regimen seriously

Take your skincare regimen seriously

Swear by a proper skincare regimen and never go to bed without cleansing and moisturising your face. CTM is the way to go if you want healthy and flawless skin. Remove all your makeup before sleeping and please do it gently; my eyes still hurt from 20 years ago.

Treat your acne well

Treat your acne well

Acne can totally become my worst teenage memory and I am sorry you’re going through it but instead of popping or picking your pimple, treat them with an appropriate acne treatment so it won’t scar my teenage memories. And, no, toothpaste is not what I am talking about. Trust only a good anti-acne cream. Also, exfoliate well once every week, to remove excess oil and keep acne and acne marks at bay.

Hydrate like it’s the end of the world

Hydrate like it’s the end of the world

Carrying a water bottle with you isn’t in your habit right now, but, believe me, drinking ample amount of water can really change your skincare game. I suggest you start early. Drink plenty of water and let that skin breathe and glow, naturally.

Use good and right skincare products

Use good and right skincare products

Think about your skin before buying your skincare products. Don’t just buy it because your BFF did. Use the right products for your skin type, stock up on hydrating skincare products and SPF and start on the anti-ageing skincare on time, I beg you!

Sleep your way to good skin

Sleep your way to good skin

Yeah, yeah sleep is for the weak, right? Who’s got the time to doze off when you have new episodes on Netflix to catch up on? But you won’t think like that when you are 35 and you already have fine lines, wrinkles and haunting dark circles. Take a good night’s sleep for your skin to feel and look fresh and beautiful in the long run.
