Fall Foods: Turn To Nature For Radiant Skin With These Seasonal Ingredients

With every change of season, comes an array of seasonal fruits and vegetables. These foods may or may not be your favourite but they are packed with nutrients that are great for your skin. The fall ingredients are no exception!
Here are some DIY face packs made with seasonal, fall ingredients that will give you glowing skin...
This popular Halloween vegetable makes an appearance in India during these months and proves extremely beneficial for the skin! Pumpkins prevent skin ageing and give you bright and beautiful skin. It contains vitamin C which increases the collagen levels of your skin, thus maintaining its elasticity.
Honey too is filled with antioxidants that will prevent ageing. The lactic acid in malai will give you brighter skin and keep it well moisturised.
Mix 2 tablespoons of pumpkin puree with 2 tablespoons of malai and 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply the paste to your face and leave it on for 20 minutes. Rinse with lukewarm water.
Use this paste once a week will give you supple skin in no time at all.
Pomegranate face mask
This juicy fruit is not just good for blood circulation, it even helps you get radiant skin. Pomegranate is rich in antioxidants that prevent free radicles from damaging your skin. Green tea contains EGCG which will improve the texture of your skin giving you a flawless complexion.
Grand the beads of ½ a pomegranate and add 1 tablespoon of freshly brewed green tea. You can even add 1 teaspoon of lemon juice to the mix. The citric acid in lemons will brighten your skin.
Rub the paste all over your face and let it stay for 15 minutes. Rinse with cold water.
Doing this twice a week will give you soft and glowing skin.
Beetroot face mask
We know that beetroot is available throughout the year in many places and it isn’t seasonal, but that doesn’t make it any less beneficial for your skin. Beetroot juice is anti-inflammatory and anti-bacterial in nature, so it will unclog your pores and helps reduce acne scars. The lactic acid in yogurt will maintain your skin’s pH balance, thus preventing acne.
Take 2 tablespoons of beetroot juice and mix with 1 tablespoon of yoghurt. Massage it onto your face and let it dry. Wash it off with cold water.
Do this once a week to keep your skin in good health.
