With summer fast-approaching, you no more have to worry about dry, parched skin. However, the humid season brings with it a gamut of other skin concerns such as tanning, grimy skin and dehydration.
It is made worse when you don’t protect your skin enough before stepping out in the sun. The harsh UV rays can have long-lasting effect on your skin, leading to premature ageing - fine lines, age spots and wrinkles.
If you want to keep your skin hydrated and glowing all through summer, here are some easy-to-prepare face masks your skin will love...

Almonds + Rose water face mask
These ingredients work wonders when mixed together and applied on to face. To prepare this mask, soak 10 almonds overnight and grind them into a smooth paste. Add some rose water to the paste and apply the mixture on your face. Leave it on for about 20 minutes before rinsing with warm water. This face mask will help you flaunt a fresh and glowing complexion all through the season.

Papaya face mask
Papaya is a natural exfoliator which not only removes dead skin cells but also has anti-ageing properties. This single-ingredient mask is extremely effective and promises to keep your skin moisturised and hydrated in the humid months. To prepare this face mask, all you need to do is mash a few pieces of papaya to form a smooth paste. Apply it on your face evenly. To prevent the paste from dripping, just place large cotton pads on the pack and rinse it off after 15 minutes.

Oats + Cucumber face mask
Oats soothe and heal dry skin and cucumbers act as a natural toner with cooling properties. Prepare this super hydrating face mask by mixing 3 teaspoons of oats with 1 teaspoon of cucumber juice and 1 teaspoon of yoghurt. Apply the mixture on your face and let it dry completely before rinsing with warm water.

Sandalwood + Rose water face mask
Both sandalwood and rose water are immensely beneficial to the skin. Sandalwood acts as a cooling agent, reduces blemishes and removes tan. Rose water comes with antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory and anti-ageing benefits. Apart from hydrating your skin, this face mask helps keep the skin moisturised, soothes irritation and itchiness and treats acne. Prepare the paste by mixing 3 teaspoons of sandalwood powder with some rose water. Apply the mixture evenly on your face and rinse after 15 minutes.

Aloe vera + Honey face mask
Loaded with nutrients and antioxidants, aloe vera helps fight signs of face premature ageing, and helps treat sunburns and suntan. Honey helps tackle tanned skin, acne, scars and dark spots. When these two ingredients come together, you get a mask that will leave your skin fresh and healthy. Prepare this mask by adding 1/4th cup of aloe vera gel with 1 tablespoon of honey. Let the mask sit on your face for 20 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
