We all have unwanted facial hair that we wished disappeared magically without those dreadful salon visits. But the sad truth is that they won’t disappear on their own. However, you can definitely avoid going to the salon to pluck them out. Instead of adopting crazy methods like shaving to get rid of hair on your upper lip area, use these natural home remedies to get rid of the problem without any pain.
Egg whites have skin tightening properties. When applied on the skin, it helps remove deep-set dirt, oil and hair.
You will need:
1 egg white
1 teaspoon cornflour
1 teaspoon sugar
Mix the egg white, sugar and cornflour in a bowl and whisk to form a paste. Apply the sticky paste on your upper lips and let it dry. Peel off once dry.
Repeat this twice a week for a month to reduce the growth of your hair naturally.
Lemon and sugar
The brown wax used in salons to get rid of hair is prepared using the same ingredients. It is an easy and painless technique that you can try at home. Lemon has skin brightening properties.
You will need:
2 tablespoons sugar
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon water
This mixture of sugar, lemon juice and water can be applied as-is or by heating it in a pan to get a thick liquid. Once it cools down, apply on the upper lip region and gently pull off to remove the hair. If using the mixture without heating, apply on your upper lip area, let it dry for 15 minutes and wash off with water.
Yoghurt and gram flour
Along with dirt and oil, gram flour also exfoliates and removes fine facial hair with regular use. Scrubbing your face with a mixture of yoghurt, gram flour and turmeric will loosen the pores and follicles and easily remove facial hair.
You will need:
1 teaspoon yoghurt
1 teaspoon gram flour
A pinch of turmeric
In a bowl, mix all the three ingredients and apply it on your upper lip area. Allow it to dry. Then rub it off gently to get rid of the facial hair, wash off with cold water.
Repeat twice a week until you notice that hair growth in this area has reduced considerably.
