The first step is to pick the right foundation and highlighter texture. A liquid foundation works better than cream or mousse foundation. Next, choose a liquid highlighter that gives a sheer finish; avoid the glittery and shimmery ones. Sheer texture will allow it to mix with the foundation seamlessly.

Clean your hands thoroughly and then mix equal parts of liquid foundation and highlighter on the back of your hand. Don’t exceed a dime-sized amount, you can pour a little extra for better coverage. However, make sure you don’t end up with a lot of product or your makeup might end up looking cakey.

And now, blend that mixture. Dot it on your forehead, cheeks, nose and chin; take a makeup sponge and start blending from the centre of your face going outwards. Your blending game needs to be strong here or you will end up with splotches and streaks that will make it look unnatural.
