A fresh bowl of salad is easy on the stomach and very healthy for your body and skin. Regular salad eaters know how delicious those fresh and crunchy vegetables taste with the right dressing. We know you all have your favourite salad and dressing combos, however today we’re going to introduce to a few dressings that will make your skin glow without compromising on your health.
- Dressing 1: Honey and poppy seed - Smooth and soft skin
- Dressing 2: Peanut butter and lime - Anti-ageing
- Dressing 3: Asian sesame - Glowing skin
Dressing 1: Honey and poppy seed - Smooth and soft skin
Poppy seeds act a natural moisturiser, making skin soft and smooth. It also strengthens the immune system. Honey is an antioxidant rich ingredient that improves cholesterol levels as well as boosts energy levels.
Recipe: In a bowl mix 3 tablespoons of ACV, 1 tablespoon of honey, 2 teaspoon black poppy seeds and ½ teaspoon kosher salt. Whisk this mixture while gradually adding 1/3 cup olive oil. This dressing tastes particularly amazing with salads that have berries and sweet fruits in them.
Dressing 2: Peanut butter and lime - Anti-ageing
Peanut butter is a rich source of vitamin E, it reduces damage caused by free radicals giving you healthy and glowing skin. Rich in vitamin C, lemon boosts immunity system and helps keep skin even-toned.
Recipe: In a blender add ¼ cup peanut butter, 2 tablespoon water, juice of one lemon, 1 tablespoon each of white vinegar, soy sauce, honey and grated ginger and blend to form a paste. This dressing tastes great with quinoa bowls and grilled fish.
Dressing 3: Asian sesame - Glowing skin
Sesame seeds promote glowing skin as well as nourish it with its rich omega fatty acids.
Recipe: In a bowl add 2 tablespoon of ACV and sesame oil each, add 1 tablespoon honey, ½ tablespoon grated ginger, 1/3 cup vegetable oil, ½ teaspoon kosher salt, pepper and garlic powder each. It tastes wonderful with Asian inspired noodles and chicken salads.
